Dave has written one book on web design and internet marketing, much poetry and a number of small business and copywriting articles.

Originally Dave worked as a consultant for a web design agency in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. Their excess profiteering at the expense of SME business owners who were unsure on how to successfully take their businesses online showed him a side of web design he really couldn’t agree with.

He then went on to establish his own small business web design agency which he sold after five years in October 2005 to someone down in New Zealand who’d earlier bought his web design book called “The Hidden Truth About Web Design”.

From October 2005 until May 2007 Dave headed up a Corporate Marketing Team advising an International Christian Counselling and Discipleship Training organisation. This ministry of 20 years standing has seen countless lives transformed worldwide by the good news of Jesus and His miraculous healing power. Part of Dave’s remit was to assist it in the design, marketing and launch of two important portals as well as advise the ministry on it’s publicity and marketing both online and off including project managing the publication of it’s annual 60 page glossy magazine.

With the launch of Dave’s new site www.alstonconsultancy.com he is now available full time for web consulting projects and to work with agencies or directly with clients for direct response copywriting. He also enjoys poetry, songwriting, playing drums and guitar because it’s such superb fun!

Married to an amazing woman called Abigail for nearly twenty years, Dave and Abi have also been blessed with four awesome children aged 6 to 18 years old whose company it is a joy to be surrounded by.
